Last summer a friend gave us a Soloflex. He'd bought it back in 2000 and hardly used it. Well it sat in the nappy ol mobile home for months accumulating dust. When we moved into this house, I asked dh to bring it over. He was reluctant and kept putting it off. Well, I wanted the ddarn thing over here. And being me I got all the pieces except for the base and brought them over, leaving them in the foyer. DH (who is a truck driver & was on the roadat the time) he finally brought it over here, after I threatened to get it myself; he was afraid I'd hurt myself moving it.

It is now sitting in my spare room, and I'm looking for the owners manuel online because I have no clue & dh is procrastinating putting it together. grrr.

I have been an exercise slacker. I went into a flare (I have fibromyalgia) and only exercised twice this past week. I've been neglecting my healthy eating too. I haven't been eating junk, but I haven't been watching my calories either. I have been drinking lots of water still and have been staying away from soda.

I'm scared to get on the scale again. I'm afraid if I've gained weight I'll get discouraged. How are you guys doing? It's getting quiet in here.

First is Oxygen Forums a message board that I've been lurking in, man some of those ladies there are awsome and very knowledgable.

the second is Terracotta's Nutrition and fitness page

I think both are worth the time to check them out.

Little Josh survived and is in ICU. From what I got told the little guy came throuh it with flying colors. They're expecting to send him home in about four days. My uncle (Little Josh's grandpa) is his pediatrition so he will be able to keep a close eye on him. Thank you for your prayers. I can go cry in relief now...

My cousin's son, who is 9 weeks old, is undergoing open heart surgery right now to repair a kinked Aeorta. His name is Joshua Hunter Gorton, he was too weak to eat and has been struggling since birth, has only gained a pound (my son has gone from 8lbs to 12lbs since birth and he's 7 weeks)

Please pray/light candles, send good thoughts out that way. I can't imagine what my cousin is going through, she's a single mom. Keep her and lil Josh in your thoughts please.

Trying to Get Back in the Groove [May. 26th, 2006|07:59 pm]

I've noticed when I don't exercise for several days, it's hard to get back in the habit. I went walking yesterday around 5 p.m. and died. It was very hot. I am convinced I need to save up for a gym membership so I can sweat in the air conditioning. (at least during the summer months) I drank a bottle of water before my walk, and one after, yet I still felt dehydrated. Ugh! I hate summer

It's hot at work too. I was wet with sweat all night long. I think I drank a total of 100 ounces of water last night. (not counting the 12 oz of Gatorade to replace electrolytes) Why does summer have to exist?

I have been tracking my calorie intake for over a week now. I don't eat a consistent amount every day. I'm fluctuating between 1,400-1,800 calories a day. I figured I must eat 2,500 to maintain my current weight so I guess I'm doing good. The weight is coming off, but it's coming off slllowwwlllyyy. I wish I could reach my goal already. (I'm impatient)

I refuse to give up though. I've worked too hard to get this far, to quit now. I consider my getting fit a lifestyle and not a diet. I plan on exercising three-four times a week and eating healthy for the rest of my life. My body will thank me.

Thanks for allowing me to ramble on about myself. :P

We need some sort of tracker, similar to the ones we use for NaNo and writing. Something we can post to show off our progress. Anyone here know coding or how to do this? I sure don't.
